Does the Black Vote Count?

This episode explores the burning question. . . . . . Does the black vote really matter in presidential elections? I am really curious to see whether black v...

I am really curious to see whether black voters will be the tipping point in the 2020 USA presidential elections. From Killer Mike to Diddy, many influential people are urging the public to be more specific with what WE want out of the political process. In this video I also take the time to talk and explain the popular vote and electoral college. Is Biden your man this year, or have you given up on democracy?

In case you haven’t heard this is the first episode of Diaspora Diary!! And I am super excited!! I chose to showcase this topic in the first episode because with all the coronavirus going on, people are forgetting one major event this year, the 2020 presidential election. It will for sure be the crux of next decade.

Technology has truly changed the way people vote and process information. The pandemic has changed the way we interact with society, businesses, and government processes. With everything going “virtual” we have to be aware of our options. Make sure you become familiar with absentee ballot and/or online voting in your state. Don’t become a victim of voter suppression. And if you do choose to vote, make an informed decision. Don’t just click boxes. The tone and future of the country is at stake.

I plan to create more content the really serves to address taboo and fundamental issues that concern all things African Diaspora. I hope you enjoy the series premiere. Diaspora Diary is a fun digital talk show series where people of African descent can interactively explore their history, address controversial topics, and discuss black culture and current events. Don’t be afraid to chime in and comment below. I love hearing new voices and discussing different perspectives. It makes my brain cells go wild.
